The Mighty Pump is a safe, inexpensive way to remove standing water from pool covers, spas, boat bilges and more. Inexpensive enough to keep one on hand wherever you might need it. With two short lengths of hose, a pressurized water source and the Mighty Pump, you can be ready for any pumping situation or emergency.

Mighty Pump provides pumping action using the force of the water pressure supplied by your household cold water faucet or outside hosebibb. You can drain almost anything without electricity or batteries! This amazing water-powered suction pump can drain up to 200 gallons per hour without using any electricity. Perfect for pool covers, spa and hot tubs, boat bilges, ponds and aquariums and even for rarely flooded basements. It's powered by water pressure from your ordinary garden hose. This "Mighty" pump has no moving parts to break down and no batteries to wear out. It never needs priming, and won't rust, rot or corrode.

For best results in both uphill and downhill pumping operations, use the shortest discharge hose suitable for your conditions. If the pump does not start, there is probably too much back pressure in the discharge hose.

This pump works due to the velocity of the water through the middle part of the pump. If you have/create a restriction on the discharge side of this pump then it will probably not work as well as you expect or not all.

Will the Mighty Pump really drain 200 gallons of water in one hour?
It depends on a number of factors. The manufacturer says up to 200 gallons per hour can be pumped with this pump. The most critical thing is water pressure and whether you are pumping uphill or downhill. It is best to use the shortest run possible. Also, you will want to take care that there is no debris in the water larger enough to cause blockage in the intake opening (approximately 3/8" opening). This pump must be submersed and it won't work well if you add a piece of hose to the intake.

Is the Mighty Pump very efficient?
This pump "wastes" a lot of water. The pump uses 1 gallon of water for each gallon that is pumped away (water usage ratio = 1:1). We do not recommend it for everyday pumping needs but for those once-in-awhile situations, such as when a pool cover needs to be drained, an aquarium or some other small area with standing water needs to be pumped etc. In these situations, this pump might be perfect for you. In wet areas where you are working and are concerned about using an electric pump with shock hazard potentials, this pump is a great choice/alternative. It is a low cost pump that nearly anyone can use.
